Download eBooks and Audio Books to your devices from eLibraryNJ

eBook & eAudio Download Instructions:

Downloading eBooks via elibrarynj.com.  Once you've read the instructions, you can proceed to elibrarynj and start downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks!

To download eBooks to your computer (PC, Mac) or eReader device (Nook, Sony eReader), follow these simple steps.

Note: Before you download an eBook to your computer for the first time, you will need to download, install, and register the Adobe Digital Editionshttp://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/#fp
software to your computer. You will use Adobe Digital Editions to either view the eBook or transfer the eBook to your eReader device. This software is free.

Step 1: Go to ListenNJ.com. Download Adobe Digital Editions. If you already have this software on your computer, then go ahead and start browsing for an eBook that you would like to download.
Click on the thumbnail picture of the item to view the complete details. This screen will show you how many copies are currently available.

Step 2: Add Item to Cart. If the item is unavailable, you can join the waiting list, and you will receive an email to begin downloading once the item is ready for you. You will need to enter your library
card number and pin. If the item is available, you can add the item to your cart and continue browsing, or proceed to checkout.

Step 3: Proceed to Checkout. Select your library (Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium*) and enter your library card number (as it appears on your Piscataway Public Library card) and your pin. If you don’t know your pin, please call us at 732-463-1633 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 732-463-1633 FREE  end_of_the_skype_highlighting. Before confirming check out, please make sure that this item plays on your device(s). For eBooks the item must be compatible with your computer (PC or Mac).

Step 4: Download Item. Click on Download, then open with Adobe Digital Editions. Once the download is complete, you can find the file on your computer and open the item. If you’re unsure where on your computer the file was downloaded, you can use a search feature to locate the document by file name. You can view the eBook on your computer, or transfer to a device like an eReader.

Step 5: Transfer to Device. Make sure your device is connected to your computer via usb cord. Open Adobe Digital Editions.

Go to Library View. On the left hand side of the screen you should see a visual representation of your device.

Find the eBook you just downloaded by viewing the library, and then drag the eBook to the device on the left hand side of the screen. Your item should now be transferred. Turn on your device and start reading!

Downloading Audio Books via ListenNJ.com

To download Digital Audio Books to your computer (PC, Mac) or MP3 Player (iPod, Zune, Droid, etc), follow these simple steps.

Note: Before you download a Digital Audio Book to your computer for the first time, you will need to download and install the OverDrive Media Console http://www.overdrive.com/software/omc/ software to your computer. You will use OverDrive to either listen to the Audio Book or transfer the Audio Book to your MP3 device. If your MP3 device has a web browser, you can download the OverDrive Media App directly to the MP3 device, and eliminate the transfer step!

Step 1: Go to ListenNJ.com. Download OverDrive Media Console. If you already have this software on your computer, then go ahead and start browsing for a Digital Audio Book that you would like to

Step 5: Transfer to Device. Make sure your device is connected to your computer via usb cord. Open OverDrive Media Console. Select the Audio Book and then select the Transfer option. When the transfer wizard opens, be sure to select your device from the drop-down list. You can transfer all parts of your audio book at once, or you can transfer one part at a time. Once the transfer is complete, you’re ready to start listening!
